Staff attend training sessions

Staff new to Extension recently had opportunity to attending training sessions at The Penn Stater Conference Center, State College, to help orient them to the organization. Three training sessions are conducted for new staff: New Employee Orientation, New Employee Training - Phase I, and New Employee Training - Phase II.

New Employee Orientation is an orientation for recently hired employees designed to build a foundation for the new employee to learn the values, history, and administrators of our organization. Recent attendees of this training session were: Sara Dinh, Stacie Domer, Ronald Hammersley, Ann Smith, Don Woodring

New Employee Training - Phase I is a training program designed to provide new educators with the specific instruction, preparation, and enthusiasm to be successful in their educator role. Phase I provides a set of skills and competencies that are necessary to master before attending Phase II.

New Employee Training - Phase II builds on the skills and competencies learned in Phase I. Recent attendees of this training session were: Timothy Abbey, Ruth Benner, Ray Bierbower, Martin Bucknavage, Debra Burrows, Jill Cox, Erin (Hersman) Cuprinka, Keith Dickinson, Dana Ekey, Donna Foulk, Amanda Good, Clancy (Cash) Harrison, Jeffrey Himes, Maria Navarette-Olvera, Grant Troop, John Turack, and Bob Veilleux

All employees are to be commended for taking advantage of the opportunity to attend these valuable sessions and for their commitment to being successful in their roles as Extension educators.
