| Teen letters influence smoke-free decision |
| December 2007 |
Personal letters written by members of the Westmoreland County’s 4-H Teens Against Tobacco Use (TATU) promoting smoke-free restaurants influenced James S. Broadhurst, chairman and CEO of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group, Inc., to go smoke free. Mr. Broadhurst invited the youth, along with Anne Lail, tobacco prevention educator, and Cindy Arblaster, 4-H educator, to join him for lunch at the Eat’n Park’s main headquarters in Pittsburgh. TATU members presented Mr. Broadhurst with a certificate of appreciation thanking him for his leadership and action to protect the health of guests and team members by eliminating tobacco smoke exposure in all restaurants.
